Mr Price Nail Wraps

Lets jump right into it shall we?

So after trying the Bundle Monster Foils, see here. I had to explore further.

I am big on saving and so I tried to find an alternative that was affordable and local… In comes Mr Price, its all in the name!

I struggled with the application of these, they were so thin and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t prevent them from creasing.

You can buy these online or in-store.

So that ends my venture into foils for the week. I put them to rest for now but who knows what the future will bring…

Bella Cosmetics Nail Polish Review

I came across these polishes while sneakily doing some online retail therapy at one of my favorite stores Mr.Price, they had 6 polishes and a 3 pack mini set on the site at the time. Me being me I got them all because I just had to try them.

Most of the polishes do not have names and so I took it upon myself to name them.

I will start with the mini pack. On the site it was referred to as a Metallic Pack and so I named them along those lines.

Burnt Orange Metallic Pack

Burnt Orange Metallic Pack

This colour looks pretty in the bottle but then once on my nails it lost the effect slightly. It is a somewhat translucent polish and therefore required 3 coats of polish but it dries super-fast, like super-fast!!!

Metallic Blue

Metallic Blue

This polish has a similar story to the Burnt Metallic Orange, it lost its effect and is translucent too, sadly after 3 coats I gave up as I hate having more than 2 coats. You can see in the Picture above how my natural nail still shines through the polish. This too dried really quickly.

Shocking Pink

Shocking Pink

The only one from the pack that I enjoyed using.  I still have it on my nails after a week, it has chipped but I keep touching it up. I am very fond of the colour. This swatch was only 2 coats (Yaaaay)

Now I will show you the other 6 polishes.

Pale Pink

Pale Pink

I love pale pink! This looks just stunning. It was only 2 coats.

Peach Glitter

Peach Glitter

I put the glitter over the Pale Pink and it came out beautiful. Same old story though, the camera freaked as soon as it saw sparkles! But in person the glitter over the pale pink was too pretty! I used 2 coats of glitter as to combat “Balding” but the glitter is so fine it basically coated everything.

Daylight Nude

Daylight Nude

Daylight Nude is actually its real name. It’s a cappuccino shade more than a nude but oh well. I like this polish very much,it has a very smooth application and only needed 2 coats.

Cement Grey

Cement Grey

Another great shade, I have always been a fan of grey polish… On other people but my bf insists he loves this one on me! He says he loves plain polish that is not popping off my hand or shining or sparkling ect. This polish was 2 coats. It could possibly have done with 1 more  coat.

Metallic Blue Shimmer

Metallic Blue Shimmer

Soft & Sparkly how fabulous! I really like this polish, I painted 2 coats of it, I feel like it could be very versatile as it is very translucent it could be painted on top of another colour to give the WOW factor.

Aqua Blue

Aqua Blue

This polish was my “Problem Child”. I obviously got the dud in the batch because the brush was too long for the bottle and so it bent and caused a great deal of difficulty to even just swatch the polish.

Broken Brush

Broken Brush

Here is the Cement Grey brush and the Aqua Blue Brush… You can immediately see the problem! Luckily I didn’t give up on the polish, I painted on! In the end I managed to get 2 coats on my nails although if the brush was working I would have had a better finished look.

Those are the swatches… Here is my opinion on the product.

The first thing I noticed about the polish is its smell. It has the weirdest and pretty unpleasant smell. I could not put my finger on it but it does not smell like other polishes. I ended up painting my nails outside to avoid the smell.

Secondly, the formula of the polish is brilliant! It is smooth and so easy to apply. Also all the polishes require less than 3 minutes to be completely dry.

Lastly, the price is pretty fantastic. I generally don’t like discussing prices on the blog but this polish retails at R15.00 a bottle which is cheap but the quality of the product is not cheap!

All in all I really enjoyed using the product.
